Safety in and around the workplace has become a significant concern for companies who value the well being of their employees. This isn’t just restricted to those companies whose offices are located in less affluent or ‘high-rent’ areas. Many jobs from social work to real estate all require employees to work off-site. This creates a duty of care for those organizations who wish to guarantee the safety of their employees.
Much of what constitutes self-defense in these circumstances is reassuring your employees that they are safe while they work. Firstly, this requires the ability for staff to be able to recognize dangerous situations and secondly, the ability to react to these situations.
These are the key concepts that we strive to instill in participants. So while we will instruct your employees in the real skills they need to defend themselves, we also teach when it is appropriate to use them.
Out with the practical safety concerns, there are also important employee satisfaction considerations. A lot of emphasis is currently placed on the importance of building confidence and a team dynamic in the work place.
